Q: I am working in a community-based transition program for young adults and am the first occupational therapist to be on the professional team. I've been assigned a 22-year-old who no longer has an individualized education program or a medical need for occupational therapy. The client was referred to the program to develop social and leisure skills, and to use assistive technology for work. The client has longstanding learning disabilities and social problems.
