When Charles Laquidara of WBCN took on The Patriot Ledger of Quincy for publishing his address, it added some spark and fun to the local radio scene. The Globe pulled TV reporter Jack Thomas off summer reruns to cover the showdown and to talk with Laquidara and the Ledger. The switchboard at the radio station was busy all day. Some people at the newspaper were furious because Laquidara retaliated by giving out their phone numbers on the air. It was great.
