The first open seat for Milwaukee mayor since 1988 is drawing a crowd of contestants -- 10 so far, assuming Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Jr. formally declares in a few weeks, as he has suggested he would. Absent Clarke, the other nine pitched up on Wednesday at a long-scheduled luncheon meeting of the Public Policy Forum, which allocated five minutes to each candidate for introductions and show and tell.
This format provided little time for particulars and no time for the candidates to engage one another. But it was clear...
