The neighbours across the street have a large balcony with an ornate railing. For years it's been almost empty, just a few pot plants & two folding chairs; but now we notice that someone has placed a child's bicycle in one corner & a rocking horse in the other. Strange, because the neighbours, the Smiths, don't have children. And now, a day later, a few more things have been placed on the balcony--a wagon wheel, a wardrobe, a drill press & a lectern.
