Top Priority for FTA Talks With U.S.
In 2006, the Thai textile industry has entered into the second year of the quota-free age after passing through its initial year, 2005. In the beginning, textile exports failed to reach initial anticipations, but rose against the preceding year. Against a backdrop of rising consumer prices and personnel expenses, the Thai textile industry is going to grope for a new type of competition in ways to avoid a head-on collision with China.
