Until 1992, Indonesia's textile and textile product exports rose quite rapidly at an average annual rate of 28.4% in volume and 38.8% in value. For the first 11 months of 1993 (January-November), such exports reached only 530,000 tons worth US$ 4.4 billion. The increases in the volume and value of such exports for 1993 are estimated to be lower than the average figures. The slowdown in the growth of such exports has been largely due to a decline in sales prices.
