The threats made by Duke University students against fellow students Berin Szoka and Jay Strader after they criticized the establishment of a Hinduism major is an outrage ("Students terrorized for letters of protest," May 9). Mr. Szoka says he now has to carry mace, and Hindu students appeared at his dorm room to threaten him. He also received an anonymous death threat by e-mail. On the day Mr. Strader's letter appeared in print, someone broke into his dorm room and left a note threatening him. This shows the true face of Hindu tolerance.
