My handful of tea roses has not been worth growing, I could say with some justice and some feeling, but then this is their first year. Besides, I take an unworthy delight in seeing hybrid tea roses all over the city defoliated from black spot, while the tea roses are bandbox clean. They arrived late in February and I potted them in two-gallon plastic pots and kept them under fluorescent lights, then lugged them in and out of doors until April when they were planted in their permanent positions.
