Abstract.
Sydenham chorea is the most common form of acquired chorea in developing countries. It is an incapacitating illness lasting for months and requires drug therapy. In view of the significant side effects associated with the drugs commonly used for the treatment of Sydenham chorea, we evaluated the efficacy of olanzapine in six children with Sydenham chorea and found encouraging results with no adverse effects.
