The news that Qualcomm CEO Dr. Irwin Jacobs had his computer stolen while speaking to a group of journalists led to some interesting speculation about whether Dr. Jacobs had taken extra measures to have his computer information encrypted. Most likely, he did.

At least it's better to think that than to face another international incident of stolen U.S. technology.

Either way, don't worry about your computer, Dr. Jacobs. Maybe instead of this being a case of corporate espionage, it is in the hands of some journalist who took it by mistake. All those black boxes look alike when they're stored...
