Dallas -- As home builders from across the continent gathered in Dallas for their annual convention last weekend, business couldn't be much better.

A strong U.S. economy, stable mortgage rates and robust sales have kept builders, coast to coast, busy for several years now. But people in some sectors of the housing industry, while not wishing any ill upon their counterparts, think a slowdown would benefit their business.
