South Korea, U.S. to work on military deal

Seoul, South Korea -- In a bid to quell rising anti-American sentiment, the United States and South Korea agreed Wednesday to form a committee to discuss ways of improving the agreement governing U.S. troops stationed here, a senior South Korean official said.
Lee Tae-sik, South Korea's deputy foreign minister, said the agreement was reached in a meeting with U.S. Deputy Ambassador Evans Revere and 8th U.S. Army Commander Charles Campbell.
