Frank Campanale may not be from South America, speak fluent Spanish, or have a background as a decorator, but something about the warmth of Brazil, the friendliness of Argentines, the earth tones of the artwork down there, and the textiles, from suede tiles and alpaca silver trays, resonated with the Italian-American from Boston's South End.
