SOAK UP THE SUMMER NO PLANS FOR THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER? COME ON, WE'RE BURNING DAYLIGHT!(! [BANG])

About 2 pages (612 words)

Wisconsin State Journal (Madison, WI), June 21st, 2008

Byline: State Journal staff

It's all downhill from here.

Officially, summer began at 6:59 p.m. Friday, so today is the first full day of summer.

Only thing is, the days are starting to get shorter already, at first imperceptibly, but soon we'll start to notice. And it goes on like that until December, when, on the shortest day of the year, things are finally looking up.

Best take advantage of the dwindling daylight now, starting with the 15 hours and 23 minutes of sunlight we have today. Follow our hour-by-hour plan to spend the whole day outside (with minimal bathroom breaks, of course)...
