Spirit Cruises expands to Richmond, to acquire Annabel Lee
Spirit Cruises Inc. announced Friday that it is buying the Annabel Lee, a river cruise ship in Richmond, from its Norfolk-based operator.
The acquisition will expand Norfolk-based Spirit Cruises into its eighth market.
Spirit Cruises, the nation's largest harbor cruise company, operates 10 ships, including the Spirit of Norfolk. Other markets include New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Seattle and Washington, D.C. Another vessel for the New York market is under construction in Chesa...
