A chilly Christmas, complete with lingering ice and snow on the ground and a bitter chill in the air, is Mother Nature's gift today for area residents.

As Cincinnati road crews completed their third consecutive day Friday of working 12-hour shifts to clear the city's streets, many motorists should notice an improvement along most roadways.

The city's goal was to have at least partially plowed about 80 percent of residential streets by Christmas morning, and crews were well on their way to meeting that threshold by Friday night.
