FOR thousands of students across the country, yesterday marked the end of a 14-year relationship with their national language.
And it was a goodbye with mixed emotions. For many of the girls taking the second, and last, Irish leaving certificate paper at Loreto College, Stephen's Green, Dublin, it was a fond farewell.
