Otto Sitterly is forming a new supermodified racing team for the defense of his first Oswego Speedway championship. The team includes individuals well known in the sport.
Joe Hawksby Jr. will build the car's chassis and Doug Holmes, of Finger Lakes Machine in Auburn, will construct a 900-horsepower V-8 engine.
Spearheading the project is John Nicotra, a Florida crop farmer and long-time follower of Oswego Speedway racing. Nicotra will own the car but Sitterly will assemble, drive and maintain the latest "Hawk Chassis" design.
