VANDALIA - Shopsmith Inc., a locally based maker and marketer of home workshop power tools, reported its fourth consecutive annual loss this week.
Shopsmith, which sells its Mark V, five-in-one woodworking tool through public demonstrations, announced a net loss of $1.79 million or 69 cents a share for the fiscal year ended March 30.
In the prior year, the net loss was $116,000 or 4 cents a share.
Revenues for the year fell 7 percent to $16.3 million from $17.5 million in fiscal 2001.
