JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Two-year-olds participating in a writing exercise Tuesday afternoon in the North Side is one of the latest results of a child-care rating system in St. Joseph.
Asked to write about a story they had just heard read aloud, Li'l Britches owner Cheryl Fulton said she was amazed the toddlers eagerly glided markers across their paper in response.
Even though the markings weren't easily identifiable, "You could tell they understood the story," Ms. Fulton said.
