Self-help movements are concerned with the enhancement of the social conditions of various groups and community development movements. These movements, such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Mothers Against Drunk Driving, are referred to as cooperative and mutual helping methods which do not observe the concept of division of labor. Various groups advance self-help movements and encourage other people to take part with their activities.
