Thank you, Chris. Whatever revisionists have to say about the discovery of America, they can't knock the three-day weekend. The autumn holiday is history's gift to the stressed out, and that includes just about everybody, whether politically correct, traditionalist or shopaholic in search of the perfect coat sale. Sitting at the kitchen table this morning a person can feel rich in time, and that's a rarity in 1995, when too many of us have too much to do, even on Saturday.
