GUYMON, Okla. (AP) _ City and state leaders gathered Thursday for the ground breaking of a multimillion dollar pork production plant that Gov. David Walters said would affect one out of five families in the Panhandle.
Seaboard Corp. said the $50 million plant will eventually bring 1,400 jobs to Guymon and be able to process 16,000 head of livestock a day. It could have annual sales revenue of more than $800 million when it is at capacity in about six years.
