Scott, Valerie Eveline Died April 1, 2001. Born in England on January 7, 1918 to Charles Arthur and Violet Eveline (nee Walker) Scott. Valerie began a career in tennis at a young age and as a young girl she was a junior Champion at Wimbledon. In 1938, she achieved a woman's ranking of 7th in the world and was a member of the British Wightman cup team which defeated the American team that year.
