Schools panel takes steps to close Sholes
South side building would be occupied by smaller programs

A Milwaukee School Board committee gave a unanimous green light Tuesday to a process expected to end with the closing of Sholes Middle School, with the far south side building being given over to several smaller, innovative programs.
