DAVE BASSETT may hand Robbie Savage the captain's armband for Leicester's FA Cup third-round clash with Mansfield tomorrow.
It would be a bold move by manager Bassett in view of his decision to remove the Wales international from last weekend's Premiership game at Bolton because he felt Savage was inflaming the home fans.
Bassett wants to make the point that he has no axe to grind against the midfielder, who has been called soccer's Public Enemy No.1 despite his status as a hero among the Leicester fans.
