REIDSVILLE -- Samuel Vernon Johnson, 77, of the Bethany community, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville. Funeral services, with military rites, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 4, at New Lebanon Christian Church with pastors Randy Jessup, Milton Gunter, Gleason Worrell, and Mark Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Curtis Vernon, Kelly Hill, Dane Hill, Dwight Wood, Steve Wood, John Tucker, Duval Vernon, and Casey Johnson.
