SIMON & SCHUSTER and Byron Preiss Multimedia Co. announced last week that S&S has acquired a 20% equity interest in the two-year-old multimedia publisher. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, although S&S will be entitled to one BPMC board seat.
In addition to the investment, the two companies have signed a co-publishing deal for BPMC to develop a number of CD-ROM projects based on S&S material. The first CD-ROM title covered by the agreement is The American Heritage Multimedia History of ...
