Standard and Poor's Corp disclosed an improved version of its syndicate ranking and called it Lloyd's Syndicate Performance Measures. The five categories of 'crowns' were replaced by a three-tiered system of 'bells.' The new ranking system assesses the relative performance of a syndicate. One bell means 'no better than market-level performance,' two bells represent 'better than market-level performance' and three bells correspond to 'significantly better than market-level performance.'
