From a leap into the future, to a dive into the past: the 134- minute Rob Roy is very much an updated (and not all that much updated) Errol Flynn picture. Well, yes, there is a graphic rape scene and some frolicsome conjugal groping under the kilt. Otherwise, you keep expecting Olivia de Havilland and Basil Rathbone to pop up any moment. They don't, of course, but their equivalents certainly do.
