After its buying spree of the late 1990s, Renault is focusing on making its acquisitions pay off, Chairman Louis Schweitzer told the Automotive News Europe Congress.
"Renault chose to grow through acquisitions. Now the aim is to reach internal growth," he said.
In the past three years, Renault has bought controlling stakes in Japan's Nissan Motor, South Korea's Samsung Motors and Romania's Dacia, while returning to Formula One competition with the acquisition of Benetton Formula Limited's racing team.
