REFRIGERATION
Gains in low-temperature cases helped unit shipments of commercial refrigeration equipment show a 3.1% increase in 1988 over the previous year's performance, according to the Commercial Refrigerator Manufacturers Association (CRMA).
The trade association does not report numerical totals for shipments or for the various equipment categories.
Based on the percentages supplied by CRMA, plus data published in prior years by the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) and the Bureau of the Census, The News estimates that shipments in 1987 totaled 108,800 units. The 3.1...
