The existing AUTOSORT range from Radix removes food defects primarily by shade or colour. The new AUTOSORT AS-P36 sorts or grades primarily on size and shape. Traditionally, the diameter or width of an object can be easily selected on sieves or tapered graders. To determine accurately the length of the object has always been difficult. Mechanical length graders have high error rates, work to coarse dimensions only, cannot be used on fragile product, and are prone to blocking.
