Both the Finance Ministry and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have attained their objectives by way of a compromise decision that added NIS 350 million to the budget of the Research and Development (R&D) division of the Chief Scientist's office. Under the agreement the Finance Ministry will add an additional NIS 175 million from State funds and the Chief Scientist office will collect an additional NIS 175 million from companies using its services.
