The opening of District public schools, initially set for Tuesday, has been postponed until Sept. 22 to give construction crews time to finish replacing roofs on numerous school buildings. City and school officials have provided information on what the three-week delay will mean for certain school programs, including scheduled college admission tests and sports activities.
