Q. What causes a section of concrete driveway to fail after only eight years? The apron between the street and sidewalk remains strong and unpitted. However, the section between the sidewalk and house is crumbling to stone, sand and powder. Both sections were poured the same day but from different truckloads. A. It is possible that the concrete mixes in the truckloads were different even though they came from the same supplier.
