Students took to the streets of Jakarta today to mourn protesters killed in two days of fierce anti-military riots, as fresh protests over a new Indonesian security law erupted in the Sumatran city of Medan. About 500 students gathered peacefully near the site of Friday's worst clashes in Jakarta, scattering flowers and carrying black banners that decried military brutality. Seven people, including a policeman, died in 48 hours of rioting that began Thursday, hospital and government sources said.
