Regarding the lead editorial on Aug. 28, I also find it disheartening that Waukesha County isn't eagerly constructing low- income housing so more poor people can live there ("Time to tackle poverty").

We've all heard of the exceptional things that low-income housing can bring to a community -- just look at the northwest side of Milwaukee, for example, or the east side of Racine. These communities are reaping the obvious benefits of a truly diverse culture.
