Monarch Notes 01-01-1963 Other Verse Light humor, delicate fancy, and fine strains of sentiment blended together in flawless form are the requirements sometimes fulfilled by Holmes as a writer of verse. Though such achievement seems but a moment's thought, it is very difficult and rare. Holmes did not try it often. "The Last Leaf," "My Aunt," and "Dorothy Q." are such rare successes.
