00-00-0000 PERMODALAN Kelantan Bhd (PKB), which pioneered the commercial Islamic pawnbroking scheme Ar-Rahn in 1991, will concentrate on building up the business in Kelantan. Its general manager Mohd Sabri Abdullah said PKB does not plan to expand to other states partly due to difficulty in obtaining pawnbroking licenses from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government. PKB, a subsidiary of the Kelantan State Economic Development Corp (PKINK), presently operates five branches in Kota Baru, Pasir Puteh, Tanah Merah, Rantau Panjang and Pasir Mas.
