Pierrette L. Leckie of Arlington Heights A memorial Mass for Pierrette L. Leckie, 79, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Born April 15, 1926, in Tunis, Tunisia, she died Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, at home. She was the much loved World War II war bride of Walter Leckie. When Pierrette was 16 years of age, with smooth skin and dark hair, she worked in a jewelry store in French Morocco. She was young and full of life and love. The war was all around her.
