Jewett, a longtime sheep and dairy farmer who, even as an octogenarian was active raising sheep, died unexpectedly Thursday. He was 88. He remained vigorous throughout his life. ``This year, he actually stocked a pond on the end of a grandson's property with 225 brook trout,'' said his daughter, Freddonna Webster. ``One of his goals was on his birthday, Oct. 10, to have a fish cookout.''
