Peter Noble Lombard, 82, a retired eye, ear, nose and throat surgeon in Silver Spring who was active in professional, civic and church organizations, died of heart ailments Nov. 23 at Holy Cross Hospital. In World War II, he served in the Army Medical Corps in Europe and was a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge. His military decorations included the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal. A resident of Silver Spring, Dr. Lombard was born in Philadelphia. He graduated from Manhattan College in the Bronx, N.Y., and moved to Washington to attend Georgetown University medical school.
