They've been clock-watching at Apsco for some time. Now the provider of electronics manufacturing services based in Perry is looking to set off alarms elsewhere while pushing a new angle of its business.
In 2004, the European Union adopted restrictions a half-dozen elements or compounds commonly used in the electronics industry. Among them are lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium and the flame-retardant compounds polybrominated biphenyl and polybrominated diphenyl ether.
