Pergamon Press Inc., one of the world's largest scientific journal publishing companies, is relocating its North American headquarters from Elmsford to 660 White Plains Road in Tarrytown.

The firm, formerly owned by the late Robert Maxwell, signed a 10-year lease for 16,370 square feet of space in the 265,000-square-foot building at the Tarrytown Corporate Center.

The six-story building is co-owned by Halpern Enterprises of Tarrytown and Robert Martin Co. of Elmsford.
