Paul Edward Clifford, 42, a Washington tax and real estate lawyer, died Dec. 17 at Sibley Memorial Hospital. He had AIDS. He was a 1988 founding partner of the Washington law firm Clifford, Farha & Sanders. For the last five years, he also had served on the board of directors of Food and Friends, an organization that delivers meals to home-bound AIDS patients. Mr. Clifford, who lived in Washington, was a native of Somerville, Mass. He was a 1973 graduate of the University of Alabama and a 1979 graduate of American University law school.
