Patrick Joseph Cassidy, 55, co-founder in 1981 with Robert M. Pinkard of a commercial real estate firm that is one of the last independently owned brokerages in the Washington area, died of brain cancer June 29 at his home in Potomac. Mr. Cassidy was chairman of the Cassidy & Pinkard board and until recently managed the firm's suburban offices. The sales, leasing and finance firm diversified in recent years to include a $25 million construction business and an equity and debt financing group that has completed about $1 billion in investments and financing.
