Islamabad, Pakistan -- Pakistan and India conducted tit-for-tat nuclear-capable missile tests Wednesday, pushing their decades-old conflict to the fore with a whoosh of steel and a payload of charged invective.

The United States may be focused on the war in Iraq, but the dual missile tests served as a reminder that the world's other conflicts continue.
