CINCINNATI -- Police are investigating a claim by Procter & Gamble Co. that employees violated a state disclosure law by leaking information to The Wall Street Journal. The probe, highlighted by the Journal in a front-page story yesterday, pits the nation's 15th largest industrial company against the biggest daily business newspaper in the country. The consumer products company, with annual revenues of more than $24 billion and a dominant force in Ohio, went to police after the Journal printed stories in June about P&G's troubled food and beverage division.
