A combo of school holidays in some Euro territories and a batch of U.S. crowd-pleasers for all ages, interspersed with a sprinkling of local heroes, kept the B.O. humming in most overseas markets last week.
"Ocean's Eleven" continued its winning streak in the U.K., Argentina, Turkey and two Nordic markets, while "Monsters, Inc." kept piling up the green from holdovers, and "Shallow Hal" made merry in Germany, Mexico and Brazil.
Meantime, the Russell Crowe headliner "A Beautiful Mind" and Will Smith starrer "Ali" began their international campaigns with patchy results.
